Stephanie Bennett

Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C, Stephanie Bennett studied ballet at a young age, including two years at a Canada’s National Ballet School. Stephanie began training as an actress in 2010, studying with local renowned acting coaches.

She has appeared in numerous television series in Recurring roles including Netflix’s ‘Travelers’, Freeform’s ‘Shadowhunters’, History Chanel’s Project ‘Blue Book’ as well as series leads on the CBC series ‘21 Thunder’ and ‘The Romeo Section’.
Stephanie has starred in over a dozen TV Movies, including ‘Listening to Love’, ‘Love in Yellowstone’ and Stolen Dreams’ ,which achieved Stephanie her Leo Award win in 2016. She carries leading roles in Hallmark’s ‘The Wedding Season’, ‘The Last Bridesmaid’ and ‘Christmas Class Reunion’.
Stephanie has demonstrated her versatility in Tim Burton’s ‘Big Eyes’, The CW Series ‘iZombie’, the Lifetime series ‘UnReal’, as well as Snow White for the Disney Channel’s ‘Descendants’. Stephanie can be seen in her recent leading roles in ‘Wedding Season’ for Hallmark, ‘Love on Your Doorstep’ and ‘Christmas Carol’ for Reel One coming out this Christmas.

I am grateful for each of the students for putting in the most amazing effort and being free and willing to grow as people and actors. For making strong choices always and for being open to making strong and empowering relationships and for your commitment and passion every single day, I am so grateful. The instructors for having the belief that each and everyone of us can be amazing and that with hard work and struggles some days you can really be just that. The most integral part of the intensive that I've been left with is a sense of community. Sometimes the world of film and television can seem intimidating, but with a good arsenal of friends, mentors and colleagues, I feel empowered, and enthusiastic. At VAS, my community supported me everyday, and acted as though my future success as an actress was an absolute. We learned from one another, and grew, and I feel stronger, and confident as a result. The land of Film and TV doesn't seem so intimidating anymore, because not only has the intensive instilled me with a great foundation of skills to keep me grounded, it's also given me a great community of people to help support me in my continuing journey...
